It is not complicated!

Dear friends,
Many are those who desire to have an encounter with God. We receive many email of people asking how can they strengthen their faith and receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit. And this is totally understandable, since the Holy Spirit is the greatest gift from God to us! But what normally happens is that people complicate it so much! They see the importance of having an encounter with God and the seal of His Spirit, and they end up thinking that this is too great to happen to them!
Yesterday night I was reading the book of Psalms, and once again I was amazed with the relationship between the king David and the Father. It is indeed something fascinating to see! Reading the book of Psalms you can see that David’s thoughts were on God at all times!
When he was at war, David was thinking about Him! If surrounded by enemies, he was thinking about Him! When celebrating victories, there was David once again thinking about Him!
His communion with God was so strong, that nothing was able to take his peace and sleep away!
And this is the dream of many people... to be able to sleep peacefully! But this my dear friends, is only possible when there is communion with God!

God doesn’t expect you to be perfect! And He doesn’t look at your weakness either! What He wants is that you have communion with Him! That you think about Him the first thing in the morning, and the last thing at night. He wants you to think about Him during the entire day and that you consider Him in every step you take! Is that too much to ask?
Once you do this, a great love for Him will automatically start growing inside you, and consequentially your greatest desire will be to please Him!

And then my friend, when you least expect... you who once were so week due to so many struggles and weaknesses, will find yourself being the apple of God's eyes! Isn’t that wonderful?
Start doing this from now on... forget yesterday and begin to trace a new destiny for yourself as from today! A destiny full of Love, Peace, communion with God and the assurance of victory at all times!
I want! How about you?

  1. This reminds me of when I was first getting to know God - I wanted to think about Him all the time not just at church so I started developing the habit of putting God in my thoughts, e.g we think all the time so when I would think oh no what am I going to wear today - I have no clue, I would put God in it , so I would say God what am I going to wear today, I have no clue and then an outfit would come to mind - sometimes I really would have never thought to combine such things but I would say - okay if you say so I will try Your way and when I put it on its like this amazing outfit I would have never thought of. This is one example but when you do with everything you will find yourself getting closer and closer to God and telling Him things only He can hear because you have that relationship and cannot bear to share those things with anyone else.

  4. I used to think the baptism was too great for me to receive also, and that I was not good enough, but sure all those thoughts changed when I realised it was Gods promise for me to receive this greatest gift.

I remember when a Pastor told me the same thing, that I was complicating the baptism, he told me that it was very simple. After 3 years, when I finally received the Holy Spirit, it was amazing, but I thought 'was that all it was?' it seemed easy all of a sudden, lol, and I wondered why I could not achieved that blessing along time ago.

I remember another Pastor said receiving the baptism in the Holy Spirit was easier than getting married, lol. x

  6. Mrs Falvia, this post is very true, sometimes we can get so busy with things we have to do, our mind is crowded with thoughts, things we have to do etc that God doesn't get a thought.
This reminds me of something my Pr said to us once, sometimes you just have to drop everything and seek, I experienced this, this week. Things got too much for me, I felt overwhelmed with all the things on my plate that I had to just stop, drop everything and have my moments with God and get my head screwed on lol.

This was one of the things that I went through, I thought knowing God was so difficult, the things you had to do and the things you had to let go of. In my mind I thought it was impossible for me to be what God wanted me to be. Until I understood that we can’t ever be perfect but we can strive to be perfect. From then on I started to see the word of God in a different way, promises that were promised by God to human kind, but with only one condition. It is entitled to those who obey the word of God and gave their life to him. God is not complicated; we make it complicated for ourselves.

  11. Dear Mrs Flavia,
Thank you for this message it is true that it is not complicated to have a communion with God. God really does not expect us to be perfect all he needs is a sincere heart to dwell in. i f we are sincere before God and have a sincere desire to know Him then we can have communion with Him. Noone can ever give us this perfect gift other than God Himself, it all depends on God and the individual only no one can do what God can do in a person's life other than God. he give us joy that the world can nver give us, he gives us peace. Really it is good to have communion with God it such a privilage and one will never know until he/she expereice it. Kisses
