My experiences in Zambia - We left the building under police escort!

Going back a little bit... we were running out of food, so one of our pastor went to the bank to take money out so we could buy groceries, but when he came, he came back empty handed, he was told that our account had been blocked and that we were not allowed to take money out.
But how were we supposed to buy food without money? How could we stay in a foreign country without food? In a situation like this, only those who have the Holy Spirit are able to keep calm and trust that somewhere and somehow God would provide!

Later on the next day he went back there, but this time he came back with the money. He told us that when he went to speak with the manager about the situation the manager was surprised, as he had no idea of what was going on. He left the pastor and went away to investigate the matter. When he came back he told the pastor that someone had done that privately. He apologised and sorted the matter out. It was probably someone who wanted us gone and out of their country as soon as possible lol!

Anyways, once the matter was solved it was now time to go shopping. We chose to go on quiet time. I went with a pastor’s wife and as we were walking around the supermarket we could see and hear people looking and whispering at us. We couldn’t hear what they were saying, but we pretty much knew what they were talking about. But our God is good! We managed to do our shopping well and went back home with a good amount of food that would last us for a while.

Latter on that same week we received the instruction from our senior to call all the media to come to our Cathedral so we could tell our side of the story for first time. Up until that moment everybody had spoken what they wanted to, but we had not yet been given the opportunity to have our voice heard.
Ah, we were all so excited about this day! I remember entering the cathedral and feeling such a great joy... that was the first time in a very long while that we had step our feet inside the church, though it wasn’t for an usual church service but it was still God’s house, and it felt wonderful to be there!

Everything was going well; the reporters were all there with their cameras and microphone. My husband started speaking and explaining to them what had actually happened. But then, all of a sudden a group on policemen came into our church and started chasing everyone away...
My God! The pain we felt for having to be chased out of our own Father’s house was just so great! We were treated like criminals once again and had to leave the building under police escort...
To be continued!

  1. Wow! Firstly I would like to say you look absolutely stunning in the pic Mrs Flavia. I love your hair totally beautiful! X

I love your post about Zambia, it always reminds me how vital it is for me now to seek for qualities that will benefit me latter. You know, so many times I ask for things that I don't need then and there but. Knw in the future I will need. Sometimes, I don't feel weak or like I'm going through a desert or anything like that but I would still seek God like I am.. So then when things get hard and then I realise the importance of asking God when I didn't need, because sooner or later I will need.

  2. I just thought how I would feel if someone came and forced me out of my Father's house. I cannot imagine all the emotions I would experience on top of being extremely upset. You are so true at this time you would know who is the real who before the Father only those with the Holy Spirit and trust Him totally could go through this come out at the other and His name being glorified.

  6. Omg! I can't wait to see the rest. I have to say in a time like this I first step is to panic. And loose sight of the goal. Again I can't wait. !!!!!
